The Future of Laser Additive Manufacturing Technology
Additive manufacturing is now globally recognised as a mainstream manufacturing technology in a range of industries such as aerospace, automotive, defence and medical. Laser technology has been instrumental in driving this growth and creating new business opportunities. Laser powder bed fusion technology has come a long way since its invention in mid 1990s. It is now more robust, with larger build platforms and intelligent process monitoring allowing greater adoption for serial production. The aim of this workshop is to highlight some of the latest developments in the technology, powder feedstock materials and software tools from the leading supply chain providers that will contribute to its increased industrial adoption. I encourage you to attend the workshop to discover new business and research opportunities that it presents.
